Not a bad series, though the last game could've gone a little bit better. Also, thank goodness they put a catcher-who-really-isn't-a-catcher in in the second game, which allowed me to get those 8 stolen bases. That was fun, seeing people like Victor Martinez execute a stolen base.

NEXT SERIES: Road series vs. Baltimore. Should be fun.

You couldn't even sweep the Astros or the Twins? C'mon man!

Astros should be 3rd in ALW not ALC ;)

Thanks for noticing that. Fixed.

But, hey, winning 3-of-4 or 2-of-3 is still .750 and .667 ball, respectively, and that's still pretty good. ;)

Good series against Baltimore, but scoring 1 run in the last 2 games can be a bit worrying. Congrats to Porcello on the shutout, too!

Next series: 3-game series @ Boston. That should be fun.

Another 2-out-of-3 series. Not bad. Next up is Cleveland for 3 games at their place, and that should be a good series.

Great series by the Tigers! Sweeping the Indians in their own stadium? Great!

In a bit of an unrelated note, I'm surprised that Alex Gonzalez hasn't completely crapped the bed by now and has stayed around as long as he did. He doesn't walk, like, at all, but his slash line is still a decently respectable (read: meh) .282/.306/.402. I'm conflicted as to what to do now. Should I keep him and let his inevitable regression start, or try to trade him while he's still going good?

Our next series is a 4-gamer at home against Texas. Should be fun.

please tell me you're kidding and the Indians don't really have Tommy Hanson and Vicente Padilla in their rotation

I would recommend trading Gonzalez if you can get anything of value for him

A split. After the Cleveland series, it could've been better, but we're still in first, and that's good.

Meanwhile, Torii Hunter has a 20-game hitting streak going right now after this series. Can he keep it up? Well, we got a 4-gamer in Oakland coming up next, so we'll see.
