Panthers Pull Out Win Behind Legs of Lake
Ronnie Lake was unstoppable on Saturday night, leading the OKC Panthers to a win in their first FBS game, over the University of Arkansas.
The junior running back had 139 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries against the Razorback D.
Cole Campbell in his first Collegiate start was 10-12 for 67 yards and 2 short TDs.
The Razorback looked like they had fought their way back into the game after a 47 yard TD pass from Brandon Allen to Demetrius Wilson to tie the game at 14 right before halftime. Jonathan Williams took the opening kickoff of the second half 66 yards to set the Razorbacks up in Panther territory, but Brandon Allen was picked off in the end zone by Zack Davidson.
With the Panthers up 21-14 in the 4th quarter, Arkansas got the ball and looked to be marching down the field to tie it up, but Freddie Stanford stopped Alex Collins on a 4th and inches, and saved the game for the Panthers.
