So do you mean it's going to be an "exhibition mode" where you can draft a team of players from all the success mode characters? If that's the case, I like that idea a lot.

Konami updated the website, including a new promo video. Things I gathered that were posted (run through google translate, so I did my best to decipher...) include:

•Max number of original players is now 1200(!!!)
•Max number of arrange teams is 55
•Original pitches can now be fully customized (after buying the ability in Power Pro Shop). After the pitch is created, it can be added in for purchase in success and PawaFes
• PawaFes seems to be a mode where you challenge various teams captained/managed by success mode players. If you beat their team, there's a chance said player joins your team. They can be upgraded and exported as original players.
•Original players and arrange teams can now be uploaded and downloaded.
•Success mode has three teams to choose from; Powerful (take a struggling team and turn them into contenders), a team centered around an aging former superstar and a team where you take an absolutely awful player and try to turn them into NPB level talent... Cuz your girlfriend won't marry you otherwise :P
•Eiken teams can be exported into arrange mode
•Original players can be added into drafts in pennant mode

I'm sure there's things I'm forgetting, but these are some of the features I'm excited about. You have my money, Konami

This is insane, especially the bolded parts. You wouldn't happen to know if this is for all platforms or just PS4, would you?

PS4: $68.99
PS3 and Vita: $59.99

That part, I don't know. I'd assume those features will definitely be in the ps4 version. PS3 and vita, here's hoping.

I hope they're in PS3. We could definitely do a whole roster update for this game with 55 arrange slots and 1200 players.

So it sounds like there are less Success Mode teams to pick from than last year's version, but each one will offer a completely different experience, as opposed to just picking a different team for the sake of it (or just wanting to play on your favorite Success Mode rival's team).

I wonder if that "aging former superstar" would be your character, or if it's one of your teammates? I'm assuming that it's your teammate because by default your character is always awful to start with (unless the "absolutely awful player" in the third Success Mode type is a character with the very worst starting attribute with the exception of one randomly selected attribute Contact, Power, Speed, etc... [or starting with only a 75 MPH {120 km/h} fastball or worse as a pitcher] ) Or perhaps, you start with a bunch of red abilities that you'll have to waste EXP on to get rid of, hurting your player's development.

I remember others saying that in past JPPY games, the success mode rivals would follow you into the regular career mode after you get drafted, meaning you might have to face them at some point on the NPB teams. Does this new version of the game have a "Success/Career" hybrid mode? It would be a bit disappointing to include all the Success Mode characters ever on the roster and not do so in my opinion.

From what I could gather, the aging superstar teammate is trying to get noticed. So it seems like he's attempting to make the team around him "stars". How it works or what that means, I'm not sure of.

As far as the terrible player goes... The screenshot showed a pitcher, 118 kpm, G/G stamina and control and literally every red ability. So, yeah...
