I believe he is 3rd in homers. He just passed teammate Yokogawa who didn't hit a single homer in May.

The Eagles stuck first again today, hitting a homer by Tomura making it 1-0 in the first. In the third, Kusano then got out with a groundball, but scored Yamasaki. In the fifth Tomura hit a double to deep center. The next batter, Yamasaki, hit a ball into the gap scoring Tomura, but getting caught at second to end the inning, 3-0 Eagles. Rasner came in to get the save, and was successful. 3-0, the final.

This game was the exact opposite of what Eagles are used to. They are used to pitcher duels, can't buy runs, etc. Today they got a scoring show. There were people scoring every time you opened your eyes from blinking. The Eagles struck first scoring 4 in the first inning. They scored again in the third to make it five to nothing. The Hawks started to swing their bats in the fifth inning scoring six to make it six to five Hawks. In the bottom of that inning the Eagles put on two, to make it seven to six them. In the seventh the Hawks tied it off of a homer by Kokubo. In the bottom of the inning, the Eagles scored three to make it 10-7 Eagles. Rasner came in to get the save, and gave up another run, but still got the save. 10-8 the final.

June in Review

This month was FANTASTIC. It looks like the Eagles have finally came to play some baseball. They have reamained in fifth place, but that is only because of their two terrible months...*coughAprilandMaycough*. Their record for the month was 14-4-0. Amazing! Their overall record is still under .500, but they are getting there. It is now 34-38-2. That is a .472 winning percentage. Lets hope they can get above .500, and maybe get to 4th place in July.

Ahhh...finally hit a baseball! The Eagles brought their bats with them, and right off the bat scored all their seven runs in the first three innings. Hoshi pitched well until the seventh when he gave up the three runs. Yokogawa FINALLY got his eighth homer, and boy was it a big one. I would always wait two months to hit a homer if it will be a grand slam.
