I didn't know Nyjer Morgan went to the NPB. But yeah, he and Jones (along with anybody else) will surely be in the 2013 version

Hmm...I heard rumors that Joel Zumaya signed a contract in Japan, but nothing's official yet. He may or may not be in the game.

Hey PPFan you should trade your whole team to the Hawks and replace them with Clowns.

You might as well.

Hot dayum Kanazawa looked good in that game. Regretting that trade yet? :P

I'd be interested in knowing why the Hawks have a bunch of clowns under contract that they can trade to other teams. Sounds like a very successful business model.

Heh, I had a feeling he would do well. I'm actually pretty excited to play against the Hawks again.

The clowns would be good for the Hawks' comedy troupe.

We're playing the Marines today. They've just fallen to fourth place. Their left-handed shortstop, Daniel Hines, has really been on a tear since being given the opportunity to play in Japan. Also, I’ve officially made Morifuku the closer. Makida has moved to a set-up role, he said to me that “I understand. It’s what’s best for the team.” But I could tell that he was very upset about it.

Knights Fall to Marines

Image – Mori and Penn

Blue Stadium, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto – Knights suffered the loss in yesterday evening’s game. Overall, it was fairly standard.

Even with the 4 runs he gave up, Anthony Creek’s ERA is still a fantastic 3.21. He’s looking like a very good candidate for the Rookie of the Year award. Or even maybe the Sawamura [Cy Young] award!

Blockbuster Trade

The Eagles and the Marines have just finalized a trade sending over phenom closer Keiji Ota in exchange for young reliever Ishizaka (who will enter the closer role), starter Tsubonuma and power hitting second baseman, Junichi Mori. Ota has been very vocal about wanting to go to a successful team, and despite the fact that the Eagles have been doing well, he still wanted to leave. "I have disdain for this organization and how it's run." Was his only comment on the matter.

Keiji Ota
AGE, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
21, R/R, 170 km/h (105 mph), A (99!), E, slow curve – 7, V-Slider – 7

Ishizaka

25, R/R, 147 km/h (91 mph), D, E, hard slider - 3, knuckleball - 3
ERA: 3.34
W-L: 3-1

Tsubonmuna
AGE, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
24, L/L, 147 km/h (91 mph), E, C, slider - 3, drop curve - 3

Was this a smart move on the Eagles part, or a steal for the Marines? Only time will tell.

A Draw

Blue Stadium, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto – The Knights and Fighters played a tight one last night that ended in a 2-2 tie. Both Fujita and Saitoh turned in incredible performances, going seven and eight innings, respectively, and both letting up 2 runs.

Kikuchi turned in an incredible relief performance, taking care of the rest of the game entirely, throwing five innings without letting up a run. “Yeah. Finally. Whatever.” He said after the game.

Oda really wore the collar, going 0-6 and grouning into a game-ending double play in the 12th. “It really hurts to do that badly. I mean, I was the only one that didn’t reach base. And I ended the game. It hurts.” He also made an error in the field, but it didn’t result in anything.

Kurihara is juicing.

The Paul McCartney league of Season logs, or the PMS for short, will be investigating.
