God, it'll be nice to see the family again for Christmas.
I looked up at the ceiling from where I was perched.
"Hunh, I haven't spoke with my mother in more than 3 months..." I said aloud in astonishment
"Whatever, I'll be seeing her in two days. No need to worry."

I forced myself out of my bed fortress and shuffled down to the bathroom.

After doing my business, and taking a shower, I headed downstairs.
"What to eat...?"
Unfortunately, since I didn't go grocery shopping this week (because I'm leaving for America tomorrow), I have nothing.
I headed back upstairs, threw on some jeans, and a sweater and made the trip to Takagi Coffee, where Kevin and I met up when he was over.

I was greeted at the door, shivering all the while. The hostess came over and lead me to a small table.
I ordered some coffee, of course, and some French toast too. Which was surprising to see. I suppose they're trying to appease the tourists here.
Well, I'm not complaining, it's nice to have something like French toast once in a while.

"Here you are, Allen." the waitress said as she brought me my plate
"Oh, you know who I am?"
"Of course! The Knights have brought us a lot of business," she took a step back, and bowed "thank you very much!"
"Please, don't mention it. If you're to thank anyone, thank the players. They're the ones doing the work."
She looked at me and smiled before hurrying off to another table.

Looking at the one slice of toast left on my plate leaves me feeling defeated.
I couldn't finish it.

"...Christ?!" I woke up to the horrid screaming of my alarm clock. Well, it was my phone, but it was functioning as an alarm clock.
I swiped the bottom of the screen to turn it off.
"Maybe if I sneak in 5 more minutes..." I thought aloud.
"No, that won't do, I'll end up asleep until far past the sunrise."

I forced myself out of bed, and over to the bathroom.
I did my business, naturally.
Took a shower. A quick one, of course, since my flight is leaving at 7.
When I was all done with that, I went on back to my room, and opened the closet door.
I stood there for a second, pondering what to wear.

Since I was going to the airport, I decided with some comfortable clothes that were lacking in the metal department.
I did my packing a couple days ago, so I didn't have to worry about that, luckily.

"Well, looks like I have everything." I said to my vacant house and it's non-existent inhabitants.
...damn, it's pretty lonely being 7,000 miles away from your family. Except Stephen, of course, but he lives in Osaka. Which is, admittedly, fairly close to me. But, c'mon, it's Stephen. He isn't the best family member to visit.

I hopped in my car, and drove down to the airport.

Welp, I arrived a little early for my flight. But, hey, always better to be early than late. Especially for something like this.
I got through security relatively quick, luckily, and decided to take a seat and bring out the tunes.
I fiddle through what I have, and decide upon some Madeon. We always got time for some Madeon.

"Flight JA8547 departing from Gate C. 10 minutes."
"Guess that's me." I said while checking over my ticket.
I walked up to Gate C, and handed the woman my ticket.
She ripped it in half, and gave me the stub.
"Thank you." I said, when she handed it back. To which she didn't respond.

I got on the plane, put my carry on in the compartment, sat down, closed my eyes, and went to sleep.

As the plane coasts into its landing, I can't help but thinking about how alone I feel.
I mean, I haven't really had any interaction with anyone outside of baseball, except for Kevin, since college.
It was quite a humbling thought that haunted my mind on an otherwise cheerful day.

So, is this gonna be updated on the first of every month?
