I almost have Scherzer completed (for a second time; accidentally saved the file with W/RISP 4 on first attempt)
But this is what I have:

Trajectory 3
Contact 7
Power 131-143
Speed 5
Arm Strength 12-13
Fielding 11
Error Resistance 12

Vs Lefty 4 - Other than 2014, he killed lefties
Spray Hitter - I guess this works, He seems to pull the ball as a Righty but Sprays it pretty equally as a Lefty (Hits wise)
Gold Glover - Won 2 GG's in 2011 and 2012
Throwing 4
Good Catcher

I feel like I'm missing a few abilities here. Feedback is much appreciated!

o's fan here but id give him grt catcher instead, he's a beaut.

contact is 6-8, power should be a mid-high C cuz he can crank it.

throwing strength seems right, id say 12 for fielding and error resistance.

timely whiff maybe? averages something like 120 k's a year when he actually plays

Thanks for your ideas!

His K% isn't above 27% so I don't think he needs Timely Whiff
I know he can "crank it" haha, but I calculated his highest HR rate in a season and it came out to 143 in power
And I guess I could give him Great Catcher

I keep hearing about how good this guy is, but I've never seen him play. It seems like he's always getting taken off the field in some way.

In terms of defensive runs saved he is by far head and shoulders above all other catchers. I think great catcher would suit best.

Thank you, I've honestly been gambling for abilities and such with 3% or higher chance. So as soon as I complete 1 practice, I'll save/load and gamble for the abilities.

I like most of it, thanks Jag for re-doing what I didn't do great the first time. One question - what gives him are 12-13 and throwing 4?

In his career I am seeing a 33% CS rate. League average is 26%. Last season was a bad month (8%), and his best season was 39%, but he's realistically a 35% CS guy I'd say. So he's good, top 10 CS% in the league 3 seasons in a row....but I think Arm of 13 and throwing 4 would be TOO good. I mean there's little room for the 5-10 better catcher arms in the league at that point (unless Cannon Arm takes effect behind the dish, lol).

Yadier Molina had a 47.7% CS rate last season (15 arm? or 14 plus throwing 4?). Russell Martin had 38% (14 arm, or 13 plus throwing 4?). I'd say give Wieters just 12, maybe 13. If you put throwing 4 in there, then 11-12 arm. That way he hovers more in the top 8-14 of the pack instead of being a top 3?

Also, maybe Durability 2 since he missed like 5 months last season?

Actually, I could give him Base Running 2 and Good Block. I just watched a video of him getting knocked on his ass a few times.

Took me probably a hour, in total, to get Dr. Goodjob to show up before the first AA game. He's the reason why I was able to complete him before I finished the last few AAA games. Might approach players like that, save/load-ing until Goodjob shows up, from now on; depending on how good they are.
