95 MPH top speed
Control: 150 at minimum, at most 170 (probably won't happen)
Stamina: 150-155

2-Seam Fastball 1-2
Slider 4-5 (might be too high, not certain)
Curveball 2-3
Changeup 1-2

Recovery 4 - As always
VS Lefty 4 - Yes, lefties have a .216 BA, righties .241 BA
Poise 4 - Yes
Fastball Life 4 - Yes, .201 BA against it
Dr. K - No, 8.5 K/9 in career, 9.1 last season. Can't guarantee that I won't get it, I'll try my best to get in play balls. Could be considered Yes for the 2014 season
Not certain about Spin 4
Not certain about Release 4
W/RISP 4 - No, strand rate floats around 74%-76% range in last 4 seasons
Groundball Pitcher - No

I'm glad you're re-doing him, HamBone's was okay but off.

No problem, I'll choose the first skin color too haha. But he does look fairly tan

Yeah, I didn't have a problwm with the appearance of Ham Bone's Bumgarner, but it would be great of you could re-do him for updated abilities. One thing i noticed about Ham Bone's version was that the pitcher had a different batting stance than the default one for pitchers, he had Gil's batting stance. I don't know how he did it, maybe he made him a fielder, chose a batting stance, then went back and made him a fielder? It would be nice if you gave him some hitting abilities, he had 3-4 homers last year I think...

since jag123jg asked, here's my $0.02:

pitching:
top spd 95 works
ctrl 170-175 (workout with fielding until your getting like 50-60 pts per practice, you can do it!)
stam 147-150 (6.3 IP per start career, 6.5 per start last season)

pitches in order of prominence:
SLD 2 (4.4 avg movement per pitchf/x)
2SFB 1-2 (10.8 avg movement per pitchf/x)
Changeup 3 (3.9 vertical movement per pitchf/x, beats everyone but Jon Lester that I've looked at)
Curveball 1-2 (very minimal movement)
SCB 1-2 - consider adding due to scouting report below:
Quote:
Curveball: Ranges from 75-79 mph. Will occasionally drop a slow curve in at 67-69 mph. Has late hard dropping movement. Generates swings and misses from it, and uses it as a strikeout pitch when it’s on. Can throw it for called strikes or as a chase pitch. Maintains great arm speed with it**.

**points to Gd Delivery or Spin 4

hitting:
TRJ 3
CON 2
PWR 110 (1.8% career HR rate - good luck with THAT! Buy a bat, use the steak house for STAM and spend points here)

Blues:
Recovery 4 (dammit MLBPP)
Vs Lefty 4 (clear split)
I like Poise 4 to keep the ERA down, sure
Fastball Life 4 seems good to me
Release 4 is worthwhile - in his career they've gotten 62 SBs, 40 CS, so about a 40% CS rate
Gd Pickoff is up in the air - he's made about 5 pickoffs per season...I'd need a higher average to get it, so i'd say no
Spin 4 would be justifiable, breaking pitches are all hit around the same as his fastball (.230 avg), up to you
I'm okay with another blue or two to reflect his ace status like Gd Low Pitch, Gd Delivery, or Battler.

It's not his pitch movement that is winning the day, so loading up on blues seems like a winner to me.

The slider is hard enough to be considered a H-SLD, and it also has considerable ZMov and a good enough GB% to the point where it could be considered a V-SLD. Very confusing, but I would limit it to a level 2 or 3 pitch regardless of which you pick (I would recommend the H-SLD in this case)

yeah I had never really looked at lefty sliders on pitch f/x...to see his has a negative horizontal movement was weird. I was going to suggest V-SLD too with the huge Z-mov, but then I compared with other lefty sliders (Glen Perkins, Randy Johnson) and MadBum's net movement is actually higher.

I'm still entirely up in the air on SLD, H-SLd, whatev. If a V-SLD or even Splitter matches that 87.3mph average speed, I'd be happy with them.

Maybe it's call for an ORIG after all! lol. Ham Bone showed such wisdom!

To finalize:

95 MPH Top speed
Control 150 once again at bare minimum, but I'll try to shoot for 170-175
Stamina 147-155

2 Seam Fastball 1-2
Slider 2
Curveball 1-2
Changeup 3

Vs Lefty 4
Poise 4
Fastball Life 4
Spin 4
Release 4
Recovery 4
Good Low Pitch

I think most of us can agree that it's not the end of world if I get Dr. K

hitting:
TRJ 3
CON 2
PWR 110

I could probably get the power in the 50's but I won't increase those until I finish the pitching requirements

It's actually a combination slider/cutter, according to Bumgarner himself. If you want to get an ORIG slider w/ more edge, call it the "collider", if not, it's your call.

I'd give him a bit higher contact, maybe 3-4, but power is more important

2 grand slams in 2014. How about a BL Hitter(homers often)?
http://www.mccoveychronicles.com/2014/4 ... to-victory

And his pitch would probably best be portrayed by a cutter that breaks more, or a hard slider that is faster.

However you make it, amngst Giants fans over the age of ten this cutter/slider pitch is known as the"Slutter"
You might also call it the Snot Rocket

It's extremely rare to get bases loaded hitter in success mode. I don't know if it can even be done.

The only multi-description ability I think that is possible to get is Walk-Off Hitter, and even then, you can only get one of the three descriptions of it.

Dustyfarmer, you're a bit too late. I finished him last night but I couldn't upload the photos.

But anyways the Gigantes had my number. I went 8 or so straight games with giving up a homer against them. I've never played so poorly against them in my life before. But I finally got a shutout against them. I do realize that the last 3 aces I've made (Kershaw, Price, and Bumgarner) have their control lower than what we wanted. But once you get to 155 in control, it takes about 11 mentality points per upgrade; and it'll increase when you get to 160. So it's extremely hard to get to 170 and higher.

Well done, jag! Mentality points can be a bitch to get, that's for sure.

Thank you and yes they are haha. Honestly, I'd be glad if I got 155 in control, at most, for the aces I've made but obviously I was able to bump their control up a tiny bit.
