Focusing on righty pitchers that I can avoid lefty 4 with, debuting in 2008, Hunter is next up. Like Wade Davis, Hunter is going to be trouble - a guy that has started in his career, and only when that fell apart in 2012 did he try the reliever path. However, in 2010 he went 13-4 as a starter, so there is some talent there.

EricDaviss44 in 2012:

Tommy Hunter , R , 34 , 94 , SLV , 4 , 19% , -.3
Tommy Hunter , R , 34 , 94 , 2SFB , 1 , 14% , -.3

and in 2011:
Quote:
Tommy Hunter , , TEX , 23 , 3 , SP , SP , 154 , 131 , Fastball Life 2, Poise 4, Recovery,

Here are my thoughts:
Top Speed: wow - Hunter has hit 100mph as a RP in 2012. His two seamer has ranged from 83 to 99.8mph.
Ctrl - B, 154-156. Walks 2 per 9 IP. Not the best around but certainly above average.
Stam - he could start, but could relieve, so again I'm going for the safe 110-120 range here. When he did start, he went 5.8 IP avg.

2SFB 1
CUT 3
CB 2-4
CHG 1
H-SLD 1

Likely abilities:
Fat Pitch (32 HRs allowed in 2012, wow)
Consistency 2
Flyball P

RISP or Poise 4
Recovery 4 maybe

thoughts?

I would bump the 2SFB to a 2 and keep the CB at 2 or 3, and definitely get Recovery 4. Everything else matches up pretty well with what I have.

I agree with AgentP in regards to Recovery 4. You absolutely need it if you even think about having him as a starter in Season mode.

So do you guys edit the rosters and give every SP recovery 4?

I was really hoping that by giving each team 2 extra arms, and some like the Athletics, Rays, Rangers and tigers as many as 5 extra arms, that the AI would be able to juggle a 6-man rotation or something. Maybe it is all pipe dreams?

Nah, the players with the high-end (B-A) stamina are usually rested well-enough for their next start; it's the ones that don't have that high stamina in a rotation that makes it a bit complicated. Sure, you could stick them in "Rest" training in Practice, but that's just my two cents.

I give every single pitcher Recovery 4, starter or reliever.

Done. No reds (waited too long to go visit Sittch), so no blues (except recovery 4).

I couldnt swing the 2SFB level 2, had to use all my points for top speed and cutter 3...recovery 4 was my very last gamble, with 36% chance and I got it!

Not quite the Hunter I wanted without Fat Pitch, but oh well, good enough to help the game with more SP options.
