I found a player rob hallett made for Ps2:

Contact 7
Power 125
Run speed 9
Arm strength 8
Fielding 9
Trj 3

Clutch hit 4
Timely whiff
Hot hitter

I am making Baker for the Wii, similar stats to the above. Not sure how good to make him - Baker hit pretty well so far, but can't find good ways to rate his fielding or arm.

on an unrelated note, I will remind myself to look into Taylor Teagarden, AND to edit Gerald Laird to make his arm REALLY good, but his fielding not so great.

Yeah, I'd make Laird's arm a low A.

My ratings for John Baker:

TRJ 2
CON 8
PWR 116
SPD 7
ARM 6
FLD 7
ERES 11

Barehand_CTH
Throwing_2

His arm is crap. It actually grades as a 5 on my 4-15 scale, but there is no point having a catcher with an arm that weak, so he gets a 6 or 7 from me. You can edit Ryan Garko (CLE) if you are creating Baker for Arrange Mode.

Thanks Eric - I was looking at Baker's advanced defensive stats on BBR: http://www.baseball-reference.com/playe ... -bat.shtml - but couldn 't figure out how to rate him.

slightly above average with the bat, but a liability on the field looks about correct. No wonder he couldn't break in with any other club.

After this I'll be making a Wii Daniel Bard, Clayton Kershaw, and JA Happ - so I'll probably look over your proposed ratings for them too. Unless there's an update now with another season in the books.

He is complete.

I gave him Gd Catcher, after reading some Marlins pitchers talk about his game calling and how good it was.

I also left contact at 7 instead of 8 - mainly because I got WAY too many hitter abilities. Eventually I just sold off a Secrets of Hitting book - I had too many abilities. Baker isn't fantastic, but he could now realistically become the Marlins' starter as he did in real life.

Thanks for the help on stats. I got Barehand Catch, but couldn't lower my throwing to 2.
