Massives Beat Royals in Pitchers' Duel
July 11, 2008- The Massives won their last game that we will cover before the All-Star game, beating the Royals at home. The Royals have the 2nd worst record in the majors. Both teams got a late start, as both starting pitchers were playing well. The first run wasn't scored until the 5th, when Cruse scored on a sac fly by Griffin to make it 1-0. Terry brought in another run in the 6th, with an RBI single. The Royals brought down the lead in the 8th, when Buck hit an RBI single to make it 2-1. Phillips made the lead comfortable again, also in the 8th, when he got a 2 RBI single, and made the score 4-1. Monarch got another save, and the Massives got another win. We talked with Reggie Carlson after the game, who has been stellar all year, and netted 8 K's today. " I've really pitched well all year, and I just continued that trend today. The offense had my back, and we got another win." Our next game is on the 15th, and it'll be the All-Star game. Carlson is scheduled to make the start, but only pitch a few innings. We will also be bringing you a standings update, and also stats of all the Massives players. Until then, see ya!

Yeah, but the roster is stacked with my Success mode greats. I invite all you other guys to try this and see how many wins you can pile up!

I plan on getting the first half player stats up tomorrow morning.

My best team in season mode was 129-33, but that wasn't using all of the best players I could possibly come up with.

It's the all star game next, and the CPU has Carlson starting, but the game after that Techer starts. I don't remember who we play though...

AL Wins All-Star Game With Huge 4th Inning
July 15, 2008- The American League defeated the National League in the All-Star game once again, continuing their dominance of the event. The NL jumped out to a lead, when Dan Uggla hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 3rd to give his team a 3-0 lead. The AL jumped out to a giant lead in the 4th, exploding for 8 runs. A-Rod started it out with a solo homer, and Alex Gordon followed suit with a solo homer of his own to make it back-to-back homers. Joe Mauer smacked a 2 RBI double down the line, and gave the AL a 4-3 lead. Will Adams helped the cause with an RBI single, then stole 2nd, and scored on a Jeter RBI single to make it 6-3. David Ortiz capped off the inning with a 2 run homer, making it 8-3. That was all the scoring the game would see, and the AL would go on to win. We will be covering the Massives again on July 23rd, in Baltimore against the Orioles. Ryan Techer is starting. Until then, see ya!
