Kansas City Royals (24-38) @ New York Yankees (32-31)
June 7, 2008

NEW YORK -- The Royals beat the Yankees today, taking the first two of this four game set in New York. Jose Guillen had a huge day at the plate today, and it started with an RBI triple in the first inning. Jason Giambi tied it all up in the fourth with his own solo blast. Jose Guillen at the plate again in the sixth belted a solo homer to give the Royals the lead, but Jason Giambi once again countered it with an RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Jose Guillen jacked his second home run of the game in the eighth to once again give the Royals the lead, but Alex Rodriguez tied it up again in the bottom of the inning with his own solo shot. Finally, the Royals took the lead for good in the ninth starting with an RBI single off the bat of Esteban German, and capped with a two-run double off the bat of, you guessed it, Jose Guillen who came just a single shy of the cycle, but more importantly drove in five runs today.

Draft 2008

The 2008 draft is upon us, and the Kansas City Royals have made two excellent selections for their first two rounds of the draft. In round one, they selected Anthony Ziegler, a twenty year old right-handed pitcher with a 94 mph heater, and a nasty forkball. In the second round, they chose twenty-three year old left handed pitcher Ricky Dinas who features three nasty breaking ball pitches, including a palmball. There is no doubt that these two will one day be the leaders of this team. Who knows how soon it may be?

Yeah. June has been a very good month for some reason. I'm still only playing one game a series, but I've been winning more.

I was planning on doing that twice a year. At the All-Star break and at the end of the season. That's just a lot of typing. :P
