THE BULLPEN HAS BLOWN ANOTHER GAME!

Lincecum comes out and pitches a solid 8 innings, then Affeldt comes in and gives up a 2 run shot....

There really wasn't much to update you on this month:

April in review:

The Bullpen got off to a REAL rocky start, and the starting pitching was phenomnal. The middle of line-up continues to struggle, and some trades may be imminent. The bullpen has been getting steadier, but still needs improvement.

Team Pitcher of the Month:

Matt Cain 4-0 0.54 ERA 33.1 IP 46K to 8BB

Team Hitter of the Month:

Randy Winn .328 6 2B 3 3B 6HR 17RBI 6SB

Divisional Standings:

GIANTS 18-10 0GB
Diamondback 18-10 0GB
Dodgers 15-13 3GB
Padres 13-15 5GB
Rockies 8-20 10GB

Looks to be another tight race. If our bullpen finally settles into what it was last year, and the starting pitching continues and the hitters start hitting, I have no doubt we will win this division.

The pitching staff, however still continues to dominate as a whole. In fact, they swept all the categories in pitching in our division. Had the best ERA by 1.00 least conceded runs, least conceded hits (both by a longshot) only 16 homers allowed, 253K only 68BB.

However, as I feared, the Giants have the worst team average, runs scored and hits. but surprisingly have a tie for the most homeruns hit with 28 (tied with Dodgers and Rockies)

The Giants are in desparate need of some hitting, and it looks to me like Inge, Hudson, and Upton weren't the answers...

BULLPEN COACH MARK WAGNER ON THE HOTSEAT

Mark Wagner may be fired within the week. While the bullpen has improved it hasn't reached it's full potential of last year.

ROOKIE BITTNER GETS SHELLACKED

He through the first inning well, and they suppose that he just lost it. Giving up 9 runs in 2 innings pitched. He isn't going to be sent down or taken out of the starting rotation.

They're just like the Giants of now... But maybe you could find another 3B instead of Inge that plays comparable defense but a better bat

What about Ishikawa, the 1B? What are his stats and ratings? Perhaps you could upgrade there?

Where have you been? I traded Ishikawa at the exhibition games in the Inge deal. Sandoval is my 1B now.

SERIES PREVEIW

3 Game series @ Dolphin StadiumImage

Image VS Image

Game 1: Jonathan Sanchez Image

Game 2: Tim Lincecum Image

Game 3: Noah LowryImage

Player to Watch for:

This was a tough one, but B.J has started to hit which is good, Yadier, Pablo, and Brandon are right behind him. But the player to watch for this time around is:

Brandon Inge
Image

He hasn't had that one "great" series yet and his Home runs, RBIs and Avg. are horrendous, sports/images/f/fe/1239355777_Brandon_Inge.jpg
he is going to be in a good park and I look for him to improve on his below average season at the plate.

In an effort to try to save the bullpen from any more humility, the Giants have engaged in trade talks with the Yankees, Red Sox, Marlins, and Nationals.

Brandon Fahey was was put on the 15 day DL, retroactive May 26th. He had been reporting back spasms hampering him. He was batting .276 with 2HR and 21RBI in AAA.

BULLPEN BLOWS ANOTHER? NOT QUITE

And the Giants will walk-off with a win! Upton hits one deep, track, wall, see ya! Walk-off for Upton! That Giants had to play catch-up in the ninth, but the Giants were able to prevail with 2 outs, and a runner on third. Inge will make the blooper reel to center.

Our next story.... Pitcher Justin Miller has been sent down to AAA after giving up a 2-run shot in the 7th. He currently has a 10.8ERA in 21IP with 10K and 9BB. It is unknown who will take his place.
