ANGELS PREVAIL IN GAME 1

Angels get a good win in game one of the World Series, Brian Fuentes closes out the game for the save as the Angels win 7-4.
Angels Lead 1-0

METS WIN A PITCHERS DUEL
Great game, the Mets scratched a couple of runs out and it was enough as the Mets win 2-1.
Series Tied 1-1

MET WIN 5-1

The Mets win the game 5-1. Coincidentally, the same score they eliminated the Giants with.
Mets Lead 2-1

METS ARE 1 WIN SHY OF WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

They have the confidence to go all the way now! With a crushing 8-1 victory over the Angels.
Once again the Angels are blanked.
Mets lead 3-1

THE METS ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!! ROLL OUT THE CARPET. METS WIN IT ALL WITH COMFORTABLE 10-6 WIN.

Carlos Beltran knew it was over from the minute the pitch came out Fuente's hand. Strike 3 swinging, and Gary Matthews Jr. has struck out to end the game! The Mets have won it all!

David Wright came for an interview after the game:
Quote:
It was just amazing, it's what we have been working towards all year long, from the first spring game, to the last game in September. We all worked like a unit, blamed the team as a whole for losses and always rebounded.

Outfielder Ryan Church could be heard screaming

"I'M GOING TO HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Too bad you got eliminated, man. I hope you get some good FAs in the off-season.

sorry gocubs, I don't have a Bill Buckner, and NO it didn't go through Travis Ishikawa either! Haha.

I'm not sure what I'll get for FA, I have a ton of questions at 2nd and LF but I kind of want the young guys to battle it out for them, I might pick-up a bullpen pitcher, but I'm not too sure...

FREE AGENCY BEGINS!
(the number next to the player is desired salary)
Notable Free Agents:

Sabathia 7530
Livan Hernandez 6200
Nathan 4560
Cy Young Winner Aaron Cook 10790
Delgado 16310
Orlando Hudson 2370
Garciaparra 5600
Chipper Jones 9460
Everett 440
Burrell 12550
Crawford 3180
Ibanez 3740
Manny Ramirez 19950
Guerrero 14700

I don't want to spend to much, but someone like Raul Ibanez would be the best fit in LF. But again I kind of want my 5-6 OF battling it out. Milton Bradley is also out there, he could be useful... Mark Hendrickson is too, B Control and D Stamina sparks my interest. Luis Ayala is also out there.

What do you guys think?

I know Manny would be good, but I'm not paying that much.

I'm really debating over whether I should get Ibanez and solve LF or develop all my younger guys there.

Adam Everett is pretty good for a SS, with A Arm Strength. And he's cheap too, but he won't get you many Home Runs. Overall, a good player.

Yeah I like him, but again, I already got Renteria who played GREAT last year. So I don't want to rid of him...

But maybe... I change Everett to 3B, put Sandoval at C and then Yadier, well a trade.

But Yadier has a wicked arm...

keep Sandoval at third and Everett at shortstop and Yadier as catcher

your defense is probably best like that

But you're leaving out Renteria... He had the least errors on the team, and he's a great fielder, you can't leave him out....
