Why isn't Spilly your second baseman?

Who? I didn't have a second baseman on my major league roster when I started the game. Still don't actually, Barmes is listed as only a SS.

Spilborghs, he's a much better hitter than Barmes

If we're doing agents, I'll take Atkins and Hawpe

Barmes is C contact F power, Spilly is D contact C power. Not a huge difference to me. Spilborghs isn't listed as an infielder either. The only person I have on my team that can play 2B according to the game is(I think) some dude in the minors.

I'd like Matt Herges (Great Clark) and Barmes.

And Barmes would like to yell in Spilborghs face because he is a better 2B. :P

Also, that was a cute pun. :P

Colorado Rockies(5-7) @ Arizona Diamondbacks(5-6)
April 12th, 2008-Todd Helton came up big for the Rockies, who took on the Diamondbacks in Arizona last night. In the top of the 1st, Helton hit a 2 run homer shortly after a Tulowitzki single to give the Rockies a 2-0 lead, before taking the field. Jeff Francis started for Colorado, and he gave up the first Arizona run in the bottom of the 1st, when Orlando Hudson hit a 2-out, solo homer to center to make it 2-1. Garrett Atkins scored a run in the 4th for the Rockies, after tripling and being drove in on a Torrealba sacrifice fly. Conor Jackson tied the game in the 6th, hitting a 2 run homer to make it 3-3. The Rockies regained the lead in the 7th and expanded it in the 8th, on a Hawpe solo homer and a Helton sac fly, respectively. Brian Fuentes came on in the 9th with a 5-3 lead, and got the save after giving up a run on Stephen Drew's RBI single. And thus, the Rockies squeaked out a 5-4 win!

Barmes would like to boast in Spilly's face because his average is 109 points better.

You could try and have Spilborghs learn 2B in the offseason, I guess. But you've also got Omar Quintanilla in the minors, not a great hitter but serviceable fielder.

Colorado Rockies(8-7) @ San Diego Padres(6-9)
April 16th, 2008- The Rockies toppled the Padres last night in a wild, yet drawn out and dull extra innings marathon. The Rockies started the game in good shape, scoring in the 2nd on a Torrealba RBI single. Then in the 3rd, they tacked on two more on a Helton RBI single and a sac fly by Atkins to put them up 3-0. The Padres bounced back and were able to score two of their own in the 3rd, on an RBI single by Jim Edmonds and an RBI double by Kevin Kouzmanoff. The score remained 3-2 until the bottom of the 9th, when Brian Fuentes blew the save for Colorado by allowing an RBI double to Adrian Gonzalez, which knotted up the score at 3-3. The game remained 3-3 for a very long time after that, as both team expended relief pitchers by the bunches. Finally, in the top of the 17th, Clint Barmes jacked a 2 RBI double to right center to give the Rockies a 5-3 lead, which was not to be blown. The official game length was 4 hours and 24 minutes!
