Probably Star for LaPorta and McCutchen as they are already highly-touted prospects and their popularity is sure to keep increasing as they play in the majors. Also I would give Contact Hitter to Elvis Andrus

Elvis is a beast. I really tried not going overboard, but he is the best defensive SS to enter the league in a looooong time. For those on the east coast who haven't had a chance to watch him play, do it.

I'd drop his power down to 90-ish though. His power isn't quite that good.

Yeah, I would have to agree with that.

Also, I seriously doubt I will make all of these guys using Success Mode. The 10 guys between ages 20 and 22? Definitely, but most of the others will be standard edits using pre-existing players with similar birthdates. Thanks to Arrange Mode, you can edit one player 10 different times and create 10 different players.

I would add Stealing 4 and make his speed A (14). Maybe even aggro steal and HD 1st Slide?

I wouldn't make his speed so high. He said he wanted them to have room for improvement and it isn't that good any way. I'd give him Agg STL but 13 spd is good.

I know you said you wanted room for improvement, but I have seen Mcutchen play in person and have watched him. His speed should be 14 or 15. He could be the fastest player in the MLB right now. He is AMAZING.
Haha, I'm WAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of you. I have made about 6 or 7 of the players listed there, so if you decide to make some, I have a few.

Unfortunately, we use different systems....

We were both pretty accurate on everyone too.

"Thanks to Arrange Mode, you can edit one player 10 different times and create 10 different players."

I'm sorry, I sort of get what you said there, but how do you make one player edit him 10 different times and get 10 different players?

He can have different eyes, pitching motion, batting motion, etc. Also, when he finishes one edit, he places it in, restores the current player, and does it again 9 more times.

Exactly. You edit an existing player, add him to his arrange team, save, then reset the edited player and do it all over again.

I know you said you wanted room for improvement, but I have seen Mcutchen play in person?

Yes. I believe room for improvement is good but I also feel it's important to represent a player's current ability. Speed is one of those attributes that shows up immediately in young players so I have no problem giving McCutchen an elite rating - but the key is keeping it in context with the other 4259872309742 players. He is not one of the two or three fastest player in baseball (the 15's) and it's debatable whether or not he belongs in the second tier (the 14's). Those guys who are true 14's and 15's were stealing 50, 60, 70 bags per season with 75%-80% success rate in the minors. Emmanuel Burriss, Everth Cabrera and Emilio Bonifacio fit into that category. McCutchen's minor league high for SB's was 34 and he got caught 19 times. That's why I listed him as having 13 speed but enhanced it with Aggressive Run and Gd IF HTR. It makes him faster than a typical 13 out of the box and on the bases while maintaining his more typical 13 speed when it comes to stealing bases.

Also, what about other players like . . .

Cool. I'll add those guys to the list. I was going off of memory - I knew I would miss some guys I thought already existed.

Keep the feedback coming! The list of pitchers is about 75% complete. Look for it tomorrow.

I suppose you're right, but you shouldn't always base speed on stealing (however, I'm sure you don't do that anyways).

I also have plenty of pitchers including:

Charlie Zink (Not sure he should be on roster with current depth at Boston pitching)
Justin Masterson
Freddy Garcia
Phil Coke
Edwar Veras
Trevor Cahill
Josh Outman
Brett Cecil
David Purcey
Bartolo Colon
Clayton Kershaw
Grant Balfour
David Price
Jeff Smardzija (Not mine)

We can try to make Rick Porcello of the Tigers. He's a SP.

How about Brett Anderson? He's a lefty starter from the A's. Or Anthony Swarzak, a Twins righty starter?
