Actually alot of these were done earlier lol... I have been working on other "rookies" such as Mayberry Jr, Lou Marson and a few others. I should be able to post a Gerardo Parra of the diamondbacks tomorrow.

Nice work. I started working on Brad Bergesen last night and forgot to post passwords for Jake Fox and Mat Gamel. Speaking of which, making a pitcher to specifications is tough because once you start boosting his stats you start earning abilities in games. For example, Bergesen already has Fastball Life, Gd Delivery , Gd Reflexes, Groundball P, Release, Spin, VS LH Batter and Dr. K is soon to follow. Beregesen has been good, but he's not Pedro Martinez. I'll probably start him over and hold off on boosting him until I near the end of the AAA season . . . either that or I throw pitch after pitch right down the middle or walk in a few runs every game.

Any suggestions?

Well, I'm glad that me and Sparkplug's idea have finally caught on.

Good luck you guys on making all these players. I would give you the passwords I have to most of them but we have different consoles so it wouldn't work.

I wish I could use all of those password but I have a wii...
I used to make alot of real players for wii but then I realized I could just edit a 23 year old like Robinzon Diaz and change him into a real player like Rasmus, then just put him on the arrange team he belongs on

Haha, yeah I used to make most of my players via sucess. I still do but more often I just edit players into another player and repeat.

A few methods I use, unfortunately they are not fool proof.

1. Slowly increase stamina. More stamina=more time on mound=more abilities earned. Therefore limit stamina to limit progression of stats.

2. Slowly increase stats/abilities. For example Chris waters of the orioles, I think he pitches a slider, curve and change. I intend on eventually giving him say for example 3 for slider or curve if they were his strongest pitches, but doing so early in the game may earn greater strikeouts therefore I would be aquiring vs L batter, Dr K, Fastball life etc which are stats I don't believe Waters deserves or would make him realistic if you can get what I mean. Say giving him a 1 or 2 for the pitch at the beginning and uping it at the end.

3. Play moderately well, used in conjunction with 2 earlier methods. Pitch a few strikeouts, then pitching well enough not to concede runs or big hits. For e.g. pitching on the upper portion of the strikezone.

4. Choosing what I call the weak pitches of pitchers to start off with. For example a slider, split finger and cutter don't get alot of strikeouts in my opinion when at a low say a 1 or 2. Strikeouts are the enemy in creating a realistic pitcher. Also in the final(face off with Siitch) take your pitcher out early that is if you have enough for the stats to create the pitcher.

Hope it makes sense. Just ask me if needed for further clarification

5. Some negative (Red) abilities off set or decrease the effect of others however not all green abilities have a opposite or red ability. Red abilities such as sandbag, fat pitch, and W/RISP (red coloured levels 1-2) can off set Dr K and fastball life. I know this as I've experimented with some of my realistic players that went wrong

Hey Eric. Completed Carlos Gonzalez(Rockies) and Fernando Tatis (NYM). Was wondering should we add Daniel Murphy to the list from the mets. Can't wait to see your Matt Gamel and Jake fox. List pretty much 75% done for hitters. Will probably do Fernando Martinez and Murphy today.

Right on, dude. I'll get those guys on the page soon. It was a busy week, so I haven't had much time to play.

Eric, Mike Carp almost done, Patient hitter aquired. Took an eternity to get that. Consequently though he has abilities of table setter, Gd Bunt, and base running 4. With his speed at 5 though it doesn't seem to have much of an impact. Will post later.

Currently doing Daniel Murphy of the Mets and Fernando Martinez of the Mets. May consider Josh Whitesell of the Diamondbacks. Some of the lesser known players heres a list;

Joe Thurston STL 3B
Shane Robinson STL CF/LF/RF
David Freese STL 3B
Tyler Greene STL SS
Casey McGehee MIL 2B
Anderson Hernandez 2B WAS
Alex Cintron SS WAS
Omir Santos C NYM
Justin Maxwell CF WAS
Jamie Hoffman RF LAD
Lou Marson C PHI
Michel Hernandez C TB
Raul Chavez C TOR
Aaron Cunningham LF OAK
Will Vanable CF SD
Matt Antonelli 2B SD
Kyle Blanks 1B/LF (Unsure of what position to put first) SD
Garrett Jones LF PIT (now that Hinske, Morgan and McLouthe are gone)
Eliezer Alonso C SD
Trevor Crowe CF/LF/RF CLE

They're some that I have seen quite a bit of this season. None atm are superstars. But wondering whether we need to consider them???
