Post subject:  I'm Retiring
So guys, I thought I should just let you know... that I'm done playing this game. It had some bit of fun in it at the beginning of the summer, and I played a lot of Success Mode then. Then I went on a season mode spree with the Massives. After starting the Nationals, I realized that I wasn't having fun playing any more. I was dreading having to play the game and update on here. So, I took about a week off, then went into Success today to attempt some requests for people. I find myself yawning at the same old events that get triggered every time. I just find myself losing enjoyment in a game I've had for 3 years. So, I would leave this forum too, but that's the only thing that keeps me around. You guys are the best. :wink: Maybe someday, I'll go back to the game, but for now, I am done. No more logs, or requests.

That's sad. I don't think I will retire from this game completely. I mean, I will go a few months without playing it, but I always come back around and start having fun again. Hopefully the same will go for you, but to each their own.

If you want a new experience (that is older than Power Pros '08), just buy Power Pros '07. I've been playing it like crazy lately.

Yep, agreed. There'll be times when a new game will come out that'll keep me busy but I have a feeling I'll end up coming back to MLBPP because the game is so fun. Hopefully things turn out well for you, Brewers. Maybe a break from it is what you need. :)

Yeah... I don't know. I wanna get a PS3 this winter, so I might end up selling my Wii to fund that project.

Why is that? It's a good game. I mean the Success mode is. You can get it for 4.99 at GameStop, I think.

I know what you're going through. The Slayers log is the only thing that's keeping me from retiring from MLBPP at this point. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu has a bit more variety when it comes to success modes, so the replay value for that is higher. However, I've still gotten a bit bored with it but I think that's a natural process when it comes to video games.

The only game i've seen for the PS3 that goes for $4.99 is a used copy of MLB '07: The Show.

I'm going to assume you meant PS2.
