Hey gang, just introducing myself.

Stumbled upon this game for the PS2 awhile ago but never actually put in and played it [3 kids and 3 jobs will do that]. I recently tried it for my iphone and thought wow, what a great little game. Then I remembered a similar title I had 'acquired' for my beloved PS2 but never tried so the other night I popped it in and was amazed at this game.

First off FUN! Secondly it is quite realistic and enjoyable. Thirdly it's deep in features and options and ways to play it.

I became instantly hooked. I have only played about 7-8 games now but with my tight schedule that's a lot of vids for me. I can't believe I've never heard of this sweet game before.

Welcome to the forums, mackdunnie! First of, let me say that the simplicity and overall effect on your signature and avatar are absolutely STUNNING. I got this game of ebay with no manual so I'll probably have many questions.

I checked out the wiki page but didn't see anything in the fielding control for jumping or diving for the ball. Is it the same button or seperate ones?

I believe there are two buttons to make fantastic catches, pressing X makes your character jump straight up in the air(I believe..), and pressing O makes your character make more of a sliding attempt at the ball, if your character has the ability Spider Catch, then you can press X close enough to the wall for a chance to rob a home run. I've never done it, though. Hope I helped.

well here are some answers to your questions that you might have:

circle = dive: for groundballs, low liners and circus catches.
triangle = jump: for snagging linedrives and flyballs that would otherwise sail over your head.
x = scaling walls: for robbing home runs.
shoulder buttons = switch players: for taking control of the cutoff man so you can cut down a runner trying to take 2nd or 3rd when the outfielder throws home; or when the AI gives you control of the wrong guy.
