google toolbar has a spellchecker. I just can never remember to hit it.

Did you get a chain mail letter that said something about that? Because I did.

Glitch, I guess. Maybe it goes down 3 and up 1. That'd be awesome!

Can you tell at all if it has more break than the level 3 pitch? Or do you think a video comparison is necessary?

Also, how does the pitch appear on his player card? Is there an extra glowing space filled in on the 2sfb bar? And when you look at him on the roster in season mode (under mlb data >> pitcher ability, I believe) does he have the up arrow listed as a 4?

This was a drafted player with the gray bar under their name, correct? I am wondering if this glitch is repeatable at all. If you go through enough drafts you may be able to get the glitch to repeat if you are lucky enough. So it would be nice to be able to see if a player has this glitch without actually having to view them in an actual game, for someone trying to repeat this glitch.

Although if it doesn't actually increase the break it probably isn't worth it to try and replicate the glitch.

Alright, let me explain.

Every once in a while in a draft pick, you have a chance of getting this kind of player. A "Super Rookie" with maxed pitches, G control D stamina.
Anyway, it appears the 2seam is maxed (just maxed) but when you go into a game it appears as 4. Considering I think they use sprites, it's probably a graphical error. It could be upgraded error (but I haven't tested it out versus lvl 3 2seamer).

Yes, very good point. I was wondering the same thing. You said it only happens in specific conditions, which leads me to think it's a sprite error (i.e. a glitch in the pitch indicator rather than a true Lv4 pitch). Perhaps caused by selecting the 2SFB after shaking off another pitch, or something similar. Does your guy have any pitches at Lv4 that might cause the indicator to get confused?

Thanks for uploading the pic btw.

This is interesting indeed. Has anyone mailed the 2K help or something about this. They might know.

Is it possible this is a general glitch in gameplay with the 2SFB? Maybe we just haven't noticed it before because in Exhibition or Season Mode, most people tend to play with the pitch type indicator hidden. AFAIK MLB Life is the only mode where it's on by default.

From here on I could try playing Exhibition games with it displayed and see if I run into a Lv4 2SFB.
