I think they should make an option where the umpires can miss calls but your manager can argue and try to change them. The option could be turned on and off.

You'd have to start arguing first before the manager comes out. If you don't argue the call, your manager doesn't have a need to stick his neck out for you if he doesn't have to.

Lineup options where you can set up platoons.

Haha. I can't believe we forgot that one. And more names for drafted players. After 6 years there are 3 konishis etc.

...and every one of them will be a sidearm/submariner who only throws from the stretch.

Yes they're trying to get rid of Overhand deliveries forever!

We should probably set a deadline when we send this in, so we can at least give the developers some time to fit some of these in, instead of sending it at the last second and having no hope at all.

First of the year you think? Gives plenty of time to work through '08 and also we need to wait for the DS release before we can ask for any changes on that front.

Having AAA and AA during Season Mode would be nice to play.

Necessary
Improve the Home Run Derby. Traditional format and multiplayer, definitely. Online would be sweet.
Online Roster updates.
Bullpen option in all modes.
Improve walks, allow beanballs.
Allow Alt. jerseys to be used in all modes.
Allow cloned Arrange teams to use the Alternate jerseys you buy for the main team.

Minor
More voices.
More batting/pitching stances.
More jerseys. For my White Sox specifically, their camo alternate:

and the '83 home throwback:

Good/Bad at home/away, and Good/Bad vs [team] as Special Abilities.
Really minor, but I'd like to see a cutscene where the manager comes out and takes the ball from the pitcher when he calls to the pen.

Pipe Dreams
I'd like to see a catcher mode. You could call the game, and also have the ability to go out the mound and talk to the pitcher when he's struggling, possibly improving his condition or making it worse.

Acquire the MILB license. Instead of having made up teams, actually go through the real AAA in Success/My Life modes. Allow us to play with minor league teams in exhibition.

Full roster editing capabilities.

Manager edit. Allow use to edit managers for every team on the main roster similar to how we edit lineups/rotation/roles for Arrange Teams so that the computer plays realistic. Difference is, we can also edit the look and attitude of the team's manager. In a bad game, you could have a cut scene where a hothead manager will storm out and argue, perhaps raising the teams' condition. Or he could come out and chew out the pitcher, and lower his condition. Or the manager could rally the team from the dugout for a boost. This part could be toggled off.

Dump Merluzzi, get a pro announcer, like Bob Uecker.

What exactly are you looking for that Arrange mode won't support?

They need to add a free agency "roster" to the arrange mode, I hate when I have the same people on a team as in free agency and some people will have to be left out completely.

Remove the annoying way of substituting players in Arrange mode. If you add a player to your team, have that same player automatically removed from the original team. This will prevent going into the original teams and manually remove the player you add to your Arrange team.

I just want to trade/edit lineups & roles on the main roster ala Arrange Mode, not have to duplicate every team. Yes, I know I can import all the Arrange Teams for a Season Mode, but what about MLB Life? What if I want to play with Jason Bay on the Red Sox? Duplicating teams annoys me. It's one thing to have Arrange Mode to create a personal dream team, but I just don't like how we basically have to use it to play with current rosters.

I wouldn't mind being able to change player's birthdates/experience either, but I know that won't happen.

But if it was all that easy (roster/player changes), no one would buy the new editions unless a brand new feature was being introduced.

Esp the roster updates. Most years for most sport games (NFL, NCAA, PGA, NBA) it's just slightly improved graphics, new moves, and rosters updated 12 months from the previous game. It's good business sense I suppose, since everyone still buys them up like hotcakes.
