They totally tore down Jason Bay. He had a bad year, but is totally crushing the ball right now. I still stick up for him even though he plays for the Red Sox. :(

I'm surprised how good Eric Gagne and LaTroy Hawkins are. And no Durability 2 for Carl Pavano?? lol

And Fukudome, definitely overrated.

Yea ur rite zito has no where near 89 miles faster ball.......longoria shld have more power cuz his lik hitting hrs at the start of the season...i cant believe zito has such good control...its c n other pitchers such as lincecum has better control but only gets a d.......he also has the ability fastball with life...i mean he hardly even throws the fastball he shld have release to be 2 instead of a 3 his abilities r screwed n shld have less stamina cuz at the start of the year it was proven he could not go through long games

Magglio Ordonez for no reason should have A for power A for contact is reasonable as he hits over 300. every year but A power? how about B or C maybe.

A Few Problems I've Got:

Jorge Posada: A Power? You don't give a 30+ year old Catcher an A for power after hitting 30 home runs which I'm pretty sure he's NEVER done before.
Melky Cabrera: An absolute hitting machine in the game. What's the deal? I'm pretty sure the best he's hit is somewhere in the 270-280 mark.
Jason Varitek: What is Konami's deal with Aging Catchers? I don't know his exact stats but he's way overrated.
Manny Ramirez: Up there with A-Rod as one of the best home run hitters in the game. Seriously? He hit 20 home runs last year and his power numbers have been declining (being in the NL has helped) so I just can't see why they made him so powerful.
Joba Chamberlain: WTF? He was a starter in the minor leagues! You're not a setup man for two months and the stamina is magically drained out of your arm. They needed to give him at LEAST C stamina. He's really not nearly as good in the game as he should be, overall.

That's just a few, I'm sure more will come to me.

A lot of sports games have rating issues. In real life, players fluctuate greatly, some can outperform for entire seasons, and others can have off-years. A game with flat ratings can't always be perfect. Also, it can't predict well without stats - look at Pedroia in last year's game!

At least they have the Mood function - which, although annoyingly cartoonish, gives some randomness, fluctuation, and chance for guys to outperform. The ability to train and improve is good too. I try to just think of it as a slightly alternate reality, and not get bogged down too much in the inaccuracies.

That's why I don't edit games that come out before the season, but when a game comes out this late I know how a lot of people are doing so I have some OCD that makes me need to edit the peoples ratings. I really wish I could be like the people that don't edit players, it's just hard for me not to.

Soto just sucks in this game which is disappointing, and Dempster has an E in stamina, so the makers of the game seem to think he's still a reliever, very annoying. And a few starters have a C in stamina which is disappointing. As much as I love his abilities I think Fukudome is a little overrated. I think his power should be brought down a little.

Zach Duke is pretty good. He only has a B in stamina, but that's still pretty good.
