Why am I getting this error? Happens when I am trying to post.
As explained earlier, the board is suffering through some database issues.

If you didn't get the blanket email, the site is going down for maintenance. Basically, it's a Hardware replacement job, which means it could take anywhere from 6-10 hours before they get it right.

Of course, it means that the site will be down on morning/afternoon of release day, not that I'm upset, but it does dampen spirits a bit.

At least we will have extra time to play the game instead of browsing the forum!

I have been assured by my service provider that the new machine is far superior to the one we are on now, so those lost connections, slow database access times and all that will be eliminated. I don't pay money for this site to watch it slow to a crawl and become bug-ridden!

I am having serious problems!!! (and its only my first day here)

For some reason this site randomly decides to log out my account while i am trying to look at pretty much anything on this site. But wait, here is the best part. For some reason, occasionaly, I log in. It gives me the message that says I am logged in and it says "click here to go back to previous page". Now keep in mind i am already logged in. So, I click on the link, and it tells me that I am not logged in while it just said I was and I have to log in again. Sometimes it does this repetedly untill it finally lets me log in.

It just did it again and wouldn't let me edit my last comment. Not only that it says I am online while it just automatically logged me out. I refresh the page.....and I am still online even though it clearly says "LOG IN" at the top left corner of the screen.

BTW, sorry for the double-post.

Metsfan4ever- Make sure you have cookies enabled for this website. The forums and wiki both need cookies enabled to keep you logged in for more than a single webclick.

I think you have to do it in the control panel somewhere and you have to do it for every site, not just this one.

If you are using Internet Explorer

Open up the Tools>Options panel or Internet Properties from the Control Panel.

There should be a privacy tab. on it, select medium.

On Firefox

Tools>Options

Privacy tab, select accept cookies
