Oh, and also, will you be using actual colleges or fictional colleges like in Success '07?

I'd like actual college's, and there be multiple storylines based off of where you go to school (Which conference?). The Ivy League could be all about school, while the SEC could be all athletics, and the Big 10 could be about getting free Tattoos and Cars

I'd like that a lot better as well. Using made-up colleges would be far too similar to '07's Success Mode. I love the idea of multiple storylines also, especially with ones between rival colleges.

I would love to see Vanderbilt in this game!

The Hawks have a baseball team! A small one, but they play in the A-10. What would the story be for that? And also Jamie Moyer pitched for Saint Joeseph's

I think you should use real colleges for everything but Success- make Success Mode a "high school" setting. Make there be a few HS's to choose from (fictional, but different i.e. one emphasizes athletics, another academics, etc.)

Michigan has a pretty good baseball team, I think.

Wow, good to see how active this thread has become these past couple days. Sorry about the inactivity--no wifi in Yellowstone. At a Montana gas Station right now, hopefully can get wifi in Calgary and can post tomorrow. I'll keep the poll up for now.

I was leaning towards fictional colleges, since it seemed less complicated, but seeing all this interest in real colleges may change my mind. Perhaps that will be my next poll.

I have a few new characters already in mind, as well as the basic structure for a couple arcs, but those may change as they were planned to go with the fictional colleges.

Looking back, maybe Success could be fictional, like you suggest, and there be a "life" like mode of being recruited from High School to college etc.

So instead of fictional colleges, do fictional high schools?

My probably with real colleges, is that in order to cater to everyone's different favorite colleges, I would be making 20 different storylines. And if I don't unique storylines, then I'm vague on everything, which would basically end up like fictional colleges, just with "Rice" instead of "Powerful University".

And the only thing against fictional teams is it being too much like '07, but I'm confident that I'll be able to make it different enough to satisfy everyone. If we do high schools though, they'll all end up fictional anyway though.

I think High School's could be an interesting dynamic, plus you have room for the stereotype high schools. The "Athletics" high school, the "Rural" high school, the "Private (I.E. Rich)" high school, etc. It'd certainly be different I think with a little creativity

Yeah, do fictional stuff since its easier.

Our results for: Should past Power Pros characters be used in this plot?

Use as many as possible-3
Bring back Marvin only-7
Make everything all-new-1

Based on these results and the aforementioned comments on the matter I will include Marvin and probably some key characters like Bison, Dr. Goodjob, Scout, those kinds of guys that are pretty much easily reusable and somewhat necessary to make this an actual "Power Pros" success mode.

Next poll: What should the setting be for this success mode?

High School
Fictional College
Real College (I'll need a good explanation as to how I can pull this one of as per my above post)

You have to reset the votes, you just changed the options. It's still 3, 7, and 1. I hope you understand what I mean.
