What should the setting for this plot be?

To Do List:

1. Write down experience points needed for everything on the boost abilities screen. (Just normal sense for now)

2. Input numbers into spreadsheet to form rough guideline for where they should be. This will almost definitely be modified later on as I figure out how to balance experience point distribution.

3. Determine which abilities should be purchasable, and which should be randomly available only.

4. Finish filling out the shop section of the spreadsheet. I'm about halfway done at the moment.

5. Figure out how to edit a radar graph in Excel. It's basically one of those pentagonal diagrams you see during the draft that show how good a player is at each skill. This is unimportant and a pretty low priority, I just thought it would be a nice thing to add, and I'd like to get it done while the idea is fresh in my mind.

6. Make rosters for other teams in the league. Need to name league.

7. Begin writing storyline, if time.

These are the things I'll try to get done before school starts up again on Monday, so that when Christmas comes, I can start writing arcs and random events. If you guys have any suggestions for teams/league name, feel free to post them.

We're doing high schools, right? Maybe we should determine a location. Here's my High school name for the one Cheif and Marvin will go to: Konami High.
School nurse would be Dr. Goodjob. :lol: Mascot would be the Bullfrogs (instead of the bulldog).


High school for rivals of Cheif (i.e. Alvin, Johnathan etc.): Powerful Prep.
Mascot: The Mobsters (bring back the gangleader from 2007. That would be awesome!).
Can't wait to see how this comes out! :D

Bullfrogs, eh? I'll keep that one in mind. Konami High could work as a school name. I was originally thinking just Powerful High Tulips. If I need to shorten the mode to two or three seasons I've got a general idea of what I could do with the plot.

I like the bad guys being preppies. Seems appropriate and I could develop a plotline along the lines of that; Chief could be poor, he applied but was rejected... Something along those lines.

The Mobster will definitely be back, I don't see him as a mascot though. Besides "prep" and "mobsters" don't really go together. :P

Yeah. The preppies versus poor kids would be like Socs versus Greasers from the Outsiders. BTW Very good book if you haven't read it, you guys need to read it.

EDIT: Mobster could be like one of those guys who gets schools in trouble for paying players (can't believe the Tulips weren't on probation for the gangster "helping Chief out" :lol: ) He could hang around the teams since High School is pretty much a step away from the MLB. He could pay Chief (if you decide to go poor boy story line) for stuff he needs. He'd be a lot like these agents hanging around colleges.

DOUBLE EDIT: We have to determine a location for a league name. We could think of the other teams in the league and come up with a name that would relate to it. I actually like the latter idea better now.

Alright, I say we just have a league/district in an undisclosed location and go from there.

I'll be writing rosters for other teams in the district today. I'm planning on having the Tulips/Bullfrogs/Whatever + 5 others. Here's the first team.

Wouldn't it be Nautical High? And Suburban Park is in Florida so if that's what you were going for, just pick a Grapefruit league city. Also, I can help with the other teams if you need me to.

Whoops! Thanks for catching that. When I originally made the team the idea was still that we would be doing universities. I guess I forgot to change it.

Feel free to throw out suggestions for other teams. The Sailors would be defensive-minded (y'now, because they keep the field in ship-shape). The other four would be contact, speed, power, and the good prep team.

Also, being the naming freak that I am, I'm still naming equipment, so if you've got any good names for bats,gloves, and spikes, then you can post those also. I have brand names. I'm just looking for names for individual products.
