Is it supposed to be a parachuter?

I got in one of the ugliest arguements ever with a kid over football and rugby. His only two arguements against football were "nothing happens in football" and "football is a copy off rugby except for they added sissy pads." He also said that people die in rugby. I hope he knows that people have died in NASCAR too so it doesn't make it a good sport. I now have very little respect for that kid.

I hate people who are like that. Every sports has it's pros and cons! (And by the way, the fact that people have died does NOT make the sport a good sport, if anything, it's bad that people have died playing it.)

I know people like this, and all of them say that baseball is awful, boring, and easy. They act like lacrosse is the best thing since sliced bread. I like lacrosse, I've never played it, but it seems interesting. 99% of the naysayers have never played the sport, so I take their complaints about it as a grain of salt.

I hate baseball haters, and when you blame their attention span they get all defensive.

I don't know why, but this quote makes perfect sense.

Especially when you point out that baseball moves at the same pace as football.

Even better - when you point out that only 13% of a football game is actual action (NOT including commercials). It was in the newspaper.

For some reason, 26 people at our school want them to add lacrosse as a sport.

Several also are coming up with names with "bro" in them (i.e. Bro-sa Parks, Bro J Simpson)

It has something to do with the "lax bro" meme.

But anyways, my friend says hockey is more "exciting" than baseball and that baseball is the "easiest sport there is." I then told him to try to hit an 85-90 mph hard ball coming straight at his face.

He didn't say anything afterwards.

I was in the second ugliest arguement ever about baseball and lacrosse. They said, "Yeah baseball is America's pastime, not America's sport." So then, what is lacrosse? I'm sure that's america's sport. Yeah lacrosse is great. Let's go watch professional lacrosse. Time to fill out our brackets for the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament! Who's gonna pick first in our fantasy lacrosse league? Yeah, lacrosse is america's sport.

Baseball is both America's pastime and its sport. I don't know what's wrong with this guy's head.

Not to mention there are WAY more people who know what baseball is than there are who know what lacrosse is.

My school is lax bro central, but most have respect for baseball and understand its difficulty. To the naysayers, I say "Ok, you try hitting a ball that travels at around 80 miles an hour, that looks like its going to hit you in the face, but then it drops down into the strike zone." That shuts them up 99% of the time. Most in my school like lax and basketball, in that order. I personally can't stand lacrosse, not because of the sport, but because of what it represents and the attitudes of most of its players.

I quote; I play lacrosse bro, a real man's sport." In comparison to football. They also act like everyone below them in the social ladder is non-existent.
