I would have to guess so, Dish. I think I'm gonna wait on the PW games, but definitely gonna try the newer ones eventually when I decide to add more to my collection.

also - my friend is gonna get the Switch over the 3DS so he's been updating me on that, looks hype!! I knew about how it was portable and the controllers, new Zelda/Mario/etc.. but I'm now hearing Melee HD could be on there as well as NBA :0 ~ I'd love to play NBA on the go, that'd be so fun.

needless to say, the former would be huuuggee for the competitive scene. They have to lug CRTs around and there's not many Melee discs around anymore, but it's still a tight-knit community whose popularity is rising. so that would be immense in terms of accessibility provided the game remains virtually the same and there's not lag, plus Gamecube controllers would have to be compatible. that's a lot to ask but if Nintendo can do it and hop into Esports with that (like advertised with Splatoon), I don't see why it can't be profitable.

hoping everyone else takes notice of the awesome scene it is, maybe we see it on ESPN like Street Fighter V someday.
